Celebration of Culture and Creativity

First launched in 2019, Art in Resonance has since become a global initiative embraced by all Peninsula hotels.

This program offers guests immersive experiences that highlight the rich cultural heritage of their host cities.

Art in Resonance supports both established and emerging artists, recognizing art’s universal value and its ability to connect people across borders.

Cabrera, in collaboration with Moooi Carpets, will showcase eight site-specific tapestries at The Lobby.

These tapestries, inspired by BenCab’s iconic Sabel figure and his Larawan paintings, reflect his deep nostalgia for Filipino culture.

Drawing from turn-of-the-century Philippine photographs and his experiences living in London.

BenCab’s Legacy

The tapestries, including “Sette Movementi,” “Triptych on Sabel 2,” “Triptych on Sabel 3,” “Noong Bata pa si Sabel,” “Farm Boy,” “Isadora’s Dance,” and “Three Muses,” represent one of the largest collections BenCab has ever created.

In partnership with Abitare Internazionale, Moooi Carpets has transformed eight of BenCab’s paintings into stunning tapestries.

Using advanced digital technology, Moooi captures the colors, textures, tones, and volume of BenCab’s work in meticulous detail.

During the exhibition, the hotel offers free access to all visitors, with guided tours and other activities available for suite guests.
