The pageant contender has been showcasing Filipino designers since day one of the competition.
Michelle Dee is on the road to the Miss Universe 2023 coronation night. For the past few weeks, she has been in El Salvador, already impressing the audience with her proudly local outfits.
Here are some of the looks our Miss Philippines has worn, made by some of our most talented designers.
Arrival outfit
As Dee touched down in El Salvador, she was wearing denim co-ords from Renz Reyes. She completed the look with a Fendi bag, Saint Laurent shoes and shades, and accessories from Jewelmer.
Day one
On her first full day in El Salvador, Dee wore a long-sleeved top and a snakeskin mini skirt by Jaz Cerezo. Earrings from Kataw finished up the ensemble.
Welcome dinner
During the welcome dinner for the Miss Universe 2023 delegates, Dee wore a black velvet ensemble by Mindanaoan designer Abdul Gafar.
Charity Gala
For the Miss Universe Charity Gala, Dee attended in a blush pink Mark Bumgarner number. The evening gown had a rosette detail and diamond encrusted brooch.
Paying homage
Dee walked the Miss Universe 2023 Preliminary stage in another Mark Bumgarner gown, this time in emerald green and black. The gown is encrusted with over 30,000 Swarovski crystals while the high neckline, power shoulders, and column silhouette gives it an elegant look.
The color was important to Dee, as it pays homage to her mother who wore green when she won Miss International in 1979. It’s also the color of her autism awareness advocacy, which is close to her heart as she has two brothers on the spectrum.
National costume
A few hours ago, Dee revealed her aviator-themed national costume created by Michael Barrasi.
“Giving justice to a concept that aims to promote tourism to the country WE ARE PROUD TO SHOWCASE TO THE UNIVERSE,” she wrote on Instagram. Dee signed off with “#CaptainMMD, over and out.”
