Continuing its rich heritage in the sublime craft of watchmaking, BVLGARI’s Octo Finissimo returns with a new, bold design that truly makes it a modern-day icon
Since its glorious arrival in 2014, the Octo Finissimo has made its mark in the realms of horology for its groundbreaking design which blends the incredible visual artistry and the remarkable craftsmanship of Bvlgari, the Roman Jeweller of Time. Each of its 6 World-Record-holding designs reflects the pioneering spirit of the luxury brand with its excellence in both performance and execution—a testimony to the grand intention of defying norms and creating beautiful masterpieces unheard of before. More than 50 awards after, Octo Finissimo changed the world of men’s watches with new parameters for contemporary, urban watches setting new trends and new codes for ultra-thin and ultra-performing watches.
Enriching the Octo Finissimo saga is the much-awaited debut of the Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Steel is now offered with a polished lacquered blue dial in Dubai this year. “We’re taking these record-setting timepieces from being a Supercar to a Grand Turismo—an extraordinary car that you drive every day. Compared to the extreme Sportscar it’s more like an all-wheel drive, as its 100 meters waterproof—you have the screw crown, you can dive, swim, take a shower; it’s great for dressing up or dressing down so you can wear it from the tennis court to the board room,” commented Jean-Christophe Babin.
The Octo Finissimo features the thinnest automatic movement and a water resistance of 100 meters, made possible by increasing the case just slightly to 6.4mm and adding a screw-down crown. It is a technical masterpiece as proven time and again by its legacy, a modern-day icon.
