As governments lift and relax restrictions in countries that controlled the spread of COVID-19, bars and clubs have reopened to the rejoice of deprived partygoers.

Fashion designers are celebrating differently by channeling their inspiration toward their Fall/Winter collections. Here are some of their nocturnal creations that hit the stage during New York Fashion Week.

Michael Kors

Described as a “study in contrasts,” evening glamour was the highlight of the Fall/Winter 2022 Michael Kors Collection Runway Show.

“Expect lots of big city glamour,” luxury accessories and ready-to-wear designer Michael Kors said.

The collection featured short hemlines with streamlined boots, mid-calf lengths with leg-revealing slashes, body-con catsuits, bodysuits and dresses, high-octane outerwear, sculptural clutch coat, oversized chesterfield, glam trench, asymmetric cuts on luxe knitwear, liquid dresses, and provocative gowns, among others.

These looks were said to celebrate the allure and energy of New York City at night.

Carolina Herrera

Wes Gordon, creative director of Carolina Herrera, was inspired by “the self-assured, strong, and full-of-fire Carolina Herrera woman” for his Fall/Winter 2022 Fashion Show collection.

The collection features linear and tailored silhouettes, undulating cascades, enormous sleeves, color reveals at hems, and sensual bustier shapes.

“I think it’s wonderful to see such beautiful, dramatic, and sensational evening clothes,” Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour said of the presentation.
