Just five months after the royal wedding in May, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child, the Kensington Palace announced to the public today. A spokesman said, “Their Royal Highnesses are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in Spring 2019.”
“Their Royal Highnesses very much appreciate all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share their happy news,” the spokesman added.
The Royal family are delighted with the news as they personally congratulated Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex during Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank wedding last Friday.
Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland is very excited about the news and is enthusiastic about meeting her first grandchild, the announcement says. However, the announcement did not mention of the Duchess’ father, Thomas Markle’s knowing of the announcement.
