Celebrities like Florence Pugh, Anna Taylor-Joy, and Michelle Yeoh were dressed to the nines in this year’s BAFTA awards.
The distinguished awards ceremony, which is now in its 76th year, was held in London’s Royal Festival Hall on February 20. It was here that stars from films and television shows—as well as the creatives behind such works—gathered to celebrate their achievements. Elegance was at the forefront of the event, with notable celebrities showing up in flowing gowns, grand capes, sleek gloves, and sharp suits.
There was certainly no shortage of style in this year’s ceremony, with celebrities like Anna Taylor-Joy and Eddie Redmayne dressed in impressive ensembles from some of the biggest names in fashion, such as Schiaparelli and Alexander Mcqueen.

Even Prince William and Princess Kate attended the event for the first time since 2020, and were clad in attire that exudes sophistication. The prince was dressed in a black velvet tuxedo from Tom Ford, while the princess wore a white and off-shoulder Alexander Mcqueen dress paired with black opera gloves.
With all that said, below is a rundown of the best celebrity looks that stunned audiences and the media during the event.
Florence Pugh
The star of Midsommar and Don’t Worry Darling sported a bright red orange gown from Nina Ricci. With its complex pleats, fishtail skirt, and perfectly fitted silhouette—designed by Nina Ricci’s newly installed creative director Harris Reed—the gown turned heads on the red carpet.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie Turner-Smith’s BAFTA outfit created a lot of buzz online, and for good reason. The 36-year-old British actress wore a dreamy lilac Gucci gown with crystal embroidery and feathers. However, Turner-Smith’s dress wasn’t the only shiny piece in her ensemble. The star also wore a large Chopard choker with sparkling diamonds and vibrant sapphires. The actress had make-up artist Joey Choy complete the look with crystal freckles, which added to its panache.
Anna Taylor-Joy
The leading lady of the recent comedy-horror film The Menu is known for her stylish looks, and her outfit in this year’s BAFTAs is another memorable addition to her growing sartorial repertoire. Taylor-Joy wore a shiny velvet mini dress in a rosy-gold shade, paired with a matching cape from Schiaparelli.
Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh—who starred in 2022’s highly-lauded Everything Everywhere All At Once—looked radiant in a perfectly tailored two-piece from Dior. The actress described the outfit’s style as “English chic” in an article from British Vogue, with its extravagant caped sleeves and blush champagne silk material. Yeoh finished off the look with a diamond-set Richard Mille watch and Moussaieff jewelry that included pink sapphires.
Cate Blanchett
The Academy Award-winning actress wore the same Maison Margiela gown she sported in the 2015 BAFTAs—but that didn’t stop her from drawing the crowd’s attention. The chic and classic dress was decorated with a Louis Vuitton necklace made from repurposed Tahitian pearls, which showcases the star’s advocacy for recycling red carpet fashion.
Angela Bassett
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever nominee was dressed in a lovely custom-halter Pamella Roland dress with draped sleeves. Her stylist Jennifer Austin wrote that the look “was inspired by the tulips and flowers of spring” in an Instagram post. The floral visuals were emphasized by Bassett’s flower-shaped clutch from Judith Leiber Couture, which complemented the whole ensemble.
Hoyeon Jung
The South Korean model and actress from 2021’s Squid Game came dressed in a dazzling gold Louis Vuitton ballgown. It was paired with a diamond choker, elegant side-parted ponytail, and bold red lipstick, which gave the 28-year-old star a timeless look.
Eddie Redmayne
Actors who attended the BAFTAs also came in dapper ensembles, Eddie Redmayne being one of them. The Academy Award winner wore a black tuxedo jumpsuit from Alexander Mcqueen that looked sleek and distinguished. He also embraced a shirtless style with the suit’s prominent V-neck, which has become a trend among other celebrities like Harry Styles.
Austin Butler
Much like Redmayne, Elvis’ Austin Butler came dressed in a piece from Alexander Mcqueen, but in a more classical style. The BAFTA awardee wore a wide-lapel wool tuxedo that looked all the more refined on the red carpet.
