The Monaco Yacht Show will showcase the world’s largest collection of super- and mega-yachts as well as 32 world-first launches.
Whilst Covid-19 has grounded flights worldwide, one mode of leisure travel has seen demand skyrocket. Superyachts and domestic yacht charters and sales have seen a boom within Asia during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Seen as the safest bubble for travel by far, the region’s ultra-rich take to the sea to satisfy their hunger for adventure whilst maintaining complete control of their luxurious environment. Illustrating this trend, Burgess—a brokerage firm based in Monaco and in Singapore—achieved an industry record of five superyacht transactions (all above 40 meters) in Asia in 2021 alone, reaching pre-pandemic sales records.
Meanwhile in Monaco, one event is returning for its 30th edition. The Monaco Yacht Show is set to showcase the world’s largest collection of 80 super- and mega-yachts (averaging a length of 54 meters), and 32 world-first launches available for purchase or charter in one place.
Happening from September 22 to 25, the world’s leading Superyacht show also launches its first-ever digital exhibit, open to yachting enthusiasts in Asia who are unable to attend the event in-person.
In addition to tailor-made experiences such as virtual visits and 360-tours onboard, the virtual exhibit will also grant one-on-one access to the industry’s top brokers and builders.
A panel of speakers, including designers, brokers, superyacht builders or financial advisors, will speak on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show through thematic workshops.
They will explore a range of current topics and address unbiased information about the decision-making process to attendees who are in the early stages of looking to buy or charter their first superyacht.
With the new format of the Monaco Yacht Show and the tailor-made Monaco Yacht Summit, the organizers recognize the importance for the yachting industry to deliver the best and most relevant intelligence to the next wave of superyacht clients who are eager to better understand a sector still largely unfamiliar.
The Monaco Yacht Summit will take place on September 21, 2021 at the Yacht Club de Monaco with the proud support of J.P. Morgan Private Bank and the Monaco Economic Board. This will be exclusively dedicated to participants with a current or prospective yacht project.
Anyone looking to appoint a personal assistant or family office representative to attend on their behalf should register for information at [email protected].
Participation is upon approval.
