Sam Edelman has debuted its Fall/Winter 2022 campaign featuring supermodel Naomi Campbell.
“This campaign is unlike anything else out there right now. It’s glamour, it’s fresh–all things that personify this powerful woman and my beloved brand,” Edelman said.
The contemporary lifestyle brand showcased key items from its footwear collection in the campaign. In doing so, it highlights both new fashion styles and the brand’s heritage classics.
“In my life, I’ve always stood for taking risks and doing things with a ‘Sam’ touch. I want my legacy to be remembered for doing all the things people told me I couldn’t. To me, that is what super woman Naomi Campbell is all about: breaking down barriers and doing things, the Naomi way,” Edelman said.
Updates to the brand’s core assortment include the Felicia ballet, Hazel pump, and Lorraine loafer. New classics, like the Drina riding boot, have also made their debut.
Edelman along with his partner Libby collaborated with longtime friend and advertising legend David Lipman on the creative direction. Steven Klein, meanwhile, photographed the fashion designer’s vision.
Additionally, Pat McGrath did makeup, Patti Wilson fixed the styling, Jimmy Paul handled hair, and Jack Flanagan managed production.
“There’s nostalgia mixed with irreverence at the core of my design approach that radiates through the pictures of this campaign. A magic between Steven Klein, Naomi Campbell, and the Sam Edelman brand that screams a modern fashion story,” Edelman said.
