The Embodiment Of A Mademoiselle: Whitney Peak Is The New Face Of This Luxury Fragrance

By

The scent of a bold, free woman. This French luxury fashion house brought the intense scents back into fashion with a new face to front.

Oliver Polge, the Chanel in-house perfumer-creator, said, “Fragrance has an extraordinary ability to evoke things in people and recall memories from their lives.”

Chanel creates fragrances based on ideas and visions. This is why Whitney Peak was chosen as the new face of the fragrance for her youthful joy and energy – ideas that Coco Mademoiselle embodies.

Patchouli is a very important and distinctive element of the fragrance, this particular patchouli is fractionated using a technique that was developed by Chanel, this gives it an elegant and sophisticated feel.

For Polge, it’s hard to describe the scent, “When I smell Coco Mademoiselle, here is something vibrant about it. It evokes a feeling of effervescence.” For him, it always feels full of life and energy, “It makes me think of a young woman who is expressing herself freely, moving as if wind was blowing around her.”

The Gossip Girl and Hocus Pocus star is already the face of Chanel, but she will be representing the brand in an even bigger way as the new face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance.

From Polge’s own words, Peak is a “free-spirited, joyful young woman” who perfectly embodies the fragrance. At a young age of 20, Peak has already collected a lot of milestones in her life as an actress. The Ugandan-Canadian actress starred in the Gossip Girl revival as Zoya Lott. She is also known for her work on Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut film “Molly’s Game, her two season role on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and the Apple TV Plus series, Home Before Dark.

Peak’s relationship with luxury brand Chanel goes a long way back with Peak being the appointed Chanel US Local Ambassador in March 2021, and together with Lily-Rose Depp and Margaret Qualley, she became the face of the 22 Bag ad campaign in March 2022.

Peak stated, “Honestly, I never dreamed I’d get the attention of such a reputable house, let alone the pleasure of working with and representing them. I’m looking forward to showing how versatile and timeless Chanel is.”
