More than a color, it’s a statement rooted in the brand’s commitment to refined style and functionality. That’s why each year, New Balance celebrates its beloved hue through the Grey Day celebration.
On May 8, 2025, it brought Grey Days to life with a bold takeover of its One Ayala, Makati store that honored the color’s unwavering appeal.
The event showcased the brand’s quiet confidence through curated installations, exclusive drops, and a gathering of Manila’s style-forward community, paying tribute to the hue that defines New Balance’s legacy.

Adding That Grey Flair
Every element of the event incorporated the color grey into its visual language. The store became a canvas for the signature shade, featuring everything from a monochrome photo zone to curated event refreshments and snacks that sported touches of grey. Beyond being aesthetically pleasing, these touches connected to the brand’s core identity, proving that subtlety speaks volumes: in other words, style doesn’t need to shout to stand out.

Guests attending the event gave even more dimension to the color, wearing it in a myriad of ways that showcased the versatility of grey. From elevated athleisure to sharp statement outfits, every look captured the effortless sophistication, inherent style, and functionality that define New Balance.
Grey Takes Center Stage
Hosted by Jaz Reyes, the New Balance Grey Day event was one of energy and excitement. Senior Marketing Manager Bea Madrid shared: “Grey is special to us; it’s the ‘if you know, you know’ color. There’s no need to be loud to stand out, because you look great when you radiate within your own comfort and style.”
Fashion experts Gee Jocson and Kassandra Corn stepped in to lead a styling session, adding to the event’s chic atmosphere as they showed guests how to take looks featuring New Balance’s Grey style to the next level.
Guests were then challenged to a simple yet symbolic activity: carefully balancing a New Balance sneaker and a block on a scale. A fitting activity that put a literal spin to the brand’s name, it rewarded the steadiest hands with exclusive New Balance gift certificates, turning balance into a real concept.
And what’s a celebration without its music? Rising star Fern took the stage with a set that wrapped the crowd in his signature sound. And as the event drew to a close, DJ Crwn took over with an electrifying mix that kept the mood alive until the last beat.
What Grey Days 2025 Has In Store
While the One Ayala event is now over, it’s only the beginning. May marks the global celebration of Grey Days, which means the brand has lined up a month-long calendar spotlighting key drops and heritage silhouettes that reinforce New Balance’s blend of innovation and legacy.
Launched on May 1, The Grey Shop brought together a carefully selected lineup of New Balance’s grey-hued icons across lifestyle, performance, Numeric, and kids’s collections, including standout styles like the 740, 9060, and Fresh Foam X 1080v14.
On May 14, the 1906 Loafer made its stylish debut, reinterpreting the classic penny loafer with sneaker-level comfort. The momentum continued on May 22 with the arrival of the ABZORB 2010 and 471, two silhouettes that are fixtures in the brand’s storied running heritage—now reengineered for today’s style and movement.
