The BoF Class Of 2024: The Olympics Of Fashion
On September 28, the global fashion community came together at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris to celebrate the BoF 500 Class of 2024 with a prestigious gala event. Under the Parisian sky with an illuminated Eiffel Tower creating an unforgettable ambiance, an evening of elegance and energy unfolded as guests indulged in cocktails and a lavish feasting table. A photo booth added to the festivities, capturing the evening’s most stylish moments. The evening reached its peak with a surprise performance by Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid, who drew guests to the dance floor and energized the audience well into the night.
The Business of Fashion founder and CEO, Imran Amed hailed the event as “the Olympics of fashion” while welcoming guests from across the globe from more than 70 nationalities, establishing the BoF 500 Class of 2024 as the world’s most global red carpet.

Influencing And Animating The Business Of Fashion
When BoF first conceived of the BoF 500 in September 2013, Imran wrote: “No other sector has a cast of characters as passionate, diverse and interesting as those who influence and animate the business of fashion. Yet, mostly, what’s projected in the media that reaches the broader world is only a thin, and sometimes superficial, slice of this captivating group. The more we thought about it, the more we felt like now was the right time to explore this talented community of people and collect them together online.”
He adds, “This year’s new entrants have been selected based on extensive research, on-the-ground market intelligence and, most importantly, nominations from existing BoF 500 members. Our team sifted through 462 nominations, conducting research and market interviews to surface the most compelling names across eight categories: Designers, Executives, Media, Retailers, Entrepreneurs, Creative Class, Models & Muses and Catalysts. We assessed their contributions to the global fashion industry based on key criteria including leadership, creativity, innovation and impact.”
