Louis Vuitton Turns Its Iconic Monogram Into Makeup

By

For the Monogram’s 130th anniversary, Nicolas Ghesquière and Pat McGrath unveil two beauty collections inspired by Monogram Dune and Infrarouge, featuring eyeshadow palettes, satin lipsticks, and luminous topper balms.

What happens when two of the greatest minds in their fields collaborate? Well, let’s ask Louis Vuitton, as the House announces the collaboration between its Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière and Creative Director for Cosmetics Pat McGrath. Two of the most well-known names in fashion and beauty have come together to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the iconic Monogram.

Rather than a traditional collaboration, this marks an evolution of a long-standing backstage creative partnership. It’s also the very first limited-edition beauty collaboration under La Beauté Louis Vuitton. Ghesquière has been shaping the brand’s visual and artistic identity for its women’s wear line since 2013, while behind the runway, McGrath has been perfecting the beauty looks for Louis Vuitton’s shows for over two decades. That said, the partnership brings new and exciting things for the brand.

From Canvas To Makeup

For the 130th anniversary of the Monogram, Ghesquière and McGrath take two of Louis Vuitton’s most recognizable canvases and give them a beauty makeover. Monogram Dune, with its warm, luminous beige, becomes a study in soft light and sun-warmed tones, while Monogram Infrarouge takes its signature red and deep black into more dramatic territory. The result is two distinct beauty worlds, each with its own mood and personality.

Monogram Dune

Monogram Dune is for the softer side of the Louis Vuitton woman. Inspired by the shifting light of the desert, the collection plays with warm beiges, rosy nudes, and flashes of light. Its packaging follows suit, pairing matte off-white aluminium with warm rose gold hardware for a finish that feels polished and subtly luxurious.

The LV Ombres 724 Monogram Dune Eyeshadow Palette brings together four shades: icy white, rose gold, hematite grey, and delicate anise with soft pink reflections. Together, they create a set of colors that moves between luminous and softly defined.

The LV Rouge 724 Monogram Dune Satin Lipstick is a warm rosy beige with a satin finish, giving the lips a subtle wash of color that fits the collection’s understated mood.

For a little extra glow, the LV Baume 098 Stellar Veil Topper Lip Balm is a transparent lip topper filled with holographic sparkles. It catches, refracts, and diffuses light, whether worn on its own or layered over another lip color.

Monogram Infrarouge

If Dune is all about soft light, Infrarouge turns up the contrast. Inspired by the deep black and vivid red of the Monogram Infrarouge canvas, this collection leans into drama, intensity, and a more commanding kind of femininity. Its packaging comes in deep matte black with red lacquered details, giving the pieces a sharper, more graphic feel.

The LV Ombres 715 Monogram Infrarouge Eyeshadow Palette features four shades: muted rosy beige, cool-toned taupe, sparkling bluish anthracite, and velvety burgundy. It moves from understated neutrals to deeper, more dramatic color.

The LV Rouge 715 Monogram Infrarouge Satin Lipstick takes the iconic Monogram Rouge and gives it a darker edge, with a rich blackcurrant shade created through a subtle infusion of black. Its creamy satin finish keeps the bold color polished and wearable.

Then there’s the LV Baume 099 Galactic Veil Topper Lip Balm, the high-impact counterpart to Dune’s Stellar Veil. Packed with multidimensional holographic glitter, it adds extra sparkle, depth, and drama to any lip look.

Beauty, Meet Louis Vuitton Leather

The collection takes the Monogram beyond the makeup itself, with the Dune and Infrarouge canvases appearing on a selection of small leather goods and beauty accessories. The lineup includes a Lip & Eye Brush Set, Nice Beauty vanity, Mattifying Paper Case, Poche Toilette, and Cosmetic Lipstick Pouch, giving the beauty ritual a distinctly Louis Vuitton way to travel.

The beauty pieces themselves are designed to be keepsakes, with the Dune compacts finished in warm rose gold and matte off-white aluminium, and the Infrarouge pieces rendered in matte black and red lacquer. The eyeshadows, lipsticks, and balms also come with recyclable refills, giving the well-crafted cases a life beyond a single product.

The collection will be available in Louis Vuitton Greenbelt and louisvuitton.ph starting August 27, 2026.
