The new retail and gathering space at Karrivin Plaza marked its launch by bringing Maning Obregon’s overlooked fashion legacy into focus with a new book.
Karrivin Plaza in Makati added a new tenant this month. Everyday: Archivo 1984 + Hindy Weber, the retail and gathering space founded by Marti Magsanoc and Hindy Weber, opened on the sixth floor of Building A on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in collaboration with Archivo 1984. The store sells fashion, books, art, beauty products, and vinyl records, its founders describing it as a place built for people who want to pull attention away from the algorithm.

The space was built as an antidote to the way most people shop now. Hindy wants visitors to feel like they’ve stepped into a gallery or a library rather than a store, somewhere they can leave the noise of the outside world behind and let their attention wander toward something worth keeping. “Shopping today is a noisy experience,” she remarks. “At Everyday, I want people to feel the opposite—a sense of calm, like entering a gallery or a library. Leave the world outside, slow down, and let the inspiration begin. I want people to leave feeling their time was well spent; inspired, and more optimistic about life.”

The Everyday Club
The opening night doubled as a preview of The Everyday Club, Hindy’s new capsule collection of natural-fiber garments. The line draws on the look of university athletics departments and garden clubs from the ’70s and ‘80s, reworking sport, street, and lounge silhouettes in linen, hemp, and other natural materials. Every piece gets made in small batches in Manila and Bali, in keeping with the slow-fashion philosophy that runs through the designer’s work. “I don’t design clothes around trends, looks, or concepts,” she says. “My process begins and ends with feeling; how a shirt feels the moment you put it on, how a pair of pants moves with you through the day.”
Weber and Magsanoc plan for Everyday to host a running calendar of events built around Archivo 1984’s archive of Filipino design and cultural history.

Remembering Fashion Illustrator Maning Obregon
The night’s other centerpiece was a book launch. Maning, published by Archivo 1984, is the first full account of the life and work of Maning Obregon, the Filipino fashion illustrator whose sketches once ran in Vogue and The New York Times. Born in Brooklyn in 1939 to a Filipino immigrant family, he began sketching runway shows in Paris at 16. He later spent nearly a decade at Vogue under Diana Vreeland.
Across three decades, Obregon drew haute couture for magazines, department stores, and designers including Valentino and Stephen Burrows, yet his name never gained much recognition in his family’s home country. Archivo 1984 built the book with historical archivist Isidra Reyes, who spent years piecing his story together so more Filipinos can learn about his life’s work.
