The Largest Superyachts At The Monaco Grand Prix

It wasn’t just Monte Carlo’s 78 laps of the 3.337-kilometer Circuit de Monaco that’s caused a flurry of excitement during the much anticipated race week.

The 2023 Monaco Grand Prix ends with a dramatic rain shower and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finishing at number one. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso and Alpine’s Esteban Ocun took the number two and three spots respectively, with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and George Russell coming in at four and five. 

The lowest priced ticket for a grandstand seat on May 28th, Sunday was as $954 while yacht seat prices on three various vessels ranged from $2,600-$3,800 with VIP terrace packages as high as almost $5,000.

Hundreds of superyachts were parked in Port Hercules and as reported by Front Office Sports, all of the 760 berths had been booked months prior, prices ranging from $3,700 to $110,000 for the week.

Here are three of the largest superyachts at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix:

Cloud 9

At 290 feet, the $150 million superyacht has a capacity of 14 guests and 27 crew members. It features a beach club, pool, and theater.

Lionheart

The $150-million 295-foot vessel includes a spa, gym, pool, salon, and elevator and can accommodate up to 12 guests and 30 crew.

Octopus

At 414 feet, Octopus is the largest superyacht present during race week. Costing $285 million, the vessel impressively features a theater, gym, sauna, glass bottom pool, and a helipad with enough space to accommodate 26 guests and 63 staff.

While the Monaco Grand Prix is the most prestigious, the F1 2023 calendar features a “record-breaking number of races, with 23 stops planned during another tour of the world.” The season opener Bahrain Grand Prix took place on March 5th and the season will end on November 26th at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
