Forbes had a blank space and included Taylor Swift in its World’s Billionaires List, which she achieved with her pure, raw talent.
With The Eras Tour being on hiatus for two months, Taylor Swift has ample time to prepare for her upcoming album this month, The Tortured Poets Department. However, she once again made the headlines as Forbes officially included her in their World’s Billionaires List on April 2.
Forbes releases a list annually and ranks the wealthiest people on the planet. They have an extensive variety of tallies, from other countries’ wealthiest personalities, best colleges in America, and highest paid celebrities, among others.

Last year, Swift’s net worth propelled to $1.1 billion, which she reached solely through her music, catalog, and tour. Forbes noted she had a $190 million-post tax earnings from The Eras Tour, which boosted her to the “three-comma club.”
The rest of her fortune comes from the increasing value of her whole discography.
The Guardian revealed in a report that she is among 265 newcomers who have entered the prestigious list.
Swift joined the tally with her at place number 2,545. USA Today reported that celebrities Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, and Jay-Z are also on the list.
“[She is] the first person to do it based solely on songwriting and performing,” Forbes mentioned.
2,781 billionaires
Swift’s 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, will release this month and will come at the most opportune time. The new album will add to the singer-songwriter’s already high net worth and billionaire status.
Forbes revealed that this year, they featured a record-breaking 2,781 billionaires. French businessman and luxury goods company owner Bernard Arnault topped the list with a net worth of $233 billion.
Elon Musk, who spearheads SpaceX and X (formerly Twitter), came in second with a net worth of $195 billion. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos got the third spot on the list with $194 billion.
Collectively, the billionaires’ total net worth amounted to $14.2 trillion. “The world’s billionaires are richer than ever,” Forbes said.
A big week for Swift
Her inclusion in the Forbes World’s Billionaires List didn’t mark the end of her successes just yet.
Prior to making the list, she won Artist of the Year at the 12th iHeartRadio Music Awards. She was unable to attend the event, but she expressed gratitude to her fans for once again contributing to this recent victory.
NSYNC’s Lance Bass and Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean presented Swift’s award. “While she was in the middle of her record-shattering Eras Tour, she was already working on her next era,” McLean said.
“That incredible dedication is why we are Swifties,” replied Bass, to which McLean agreed.
Swift mentioned that the year has so far been spectacular and that she is so grateful. “We have so many exciting things ahead of us,” she said in her pre-recorded acceptance speech. “Thank you for voting for me for this incredible honor.”
She took home a total of six awards: Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics for “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version),” TikTok Bop of the Year for “Cruel Summer,” Favorite Tour Style, and Tour of the Year.
The day after she secured her recent wins, SiriusXM station created a Taylor-only channel. They called it Channel 13 (Taylor’s Version), a 24/7 station that will be available until May 6. The goal is to play her discography leading up to her album release and play Tortured Poets continuously after it comes out. Swift’s dedicated station will launch on April 7.
