Proving that Philippine pride goes beyond the margins of June, the biggest Terno-making convention and competition once again unveils a new wave of up-and-coming designers from different parts of the country. A herculean effort helmed by the local retail powerhouse, Bench, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, everyone flocked to CCP Main Theater to celebrate Filipino fashion and tradition through modern Terno designs.
Apart from the stunning creations of exquisite precision and unequaled grace, the competition witnessed the presence of influential figures and celebrities. All looking forward to the presentations by the contestants, as well as of design luminaries such as Ivarluski Aseron, Lesley Mobo, and Philip Rodriguez, distinguished guests sauntered in the theater dressed in their most staggering formal Terno and Barong Tagalog. One could not walk around without stopping to admire all the beautiful ensembles that define Philippine fashion at a glance. From chignon hair adorned with ornate headpieces to heritage jewelry to head-turning Terno dresses, it was definitely as if the golden age of Filipino fashion is upon us, this time setting the charm of the classic parlay itself elegantly to the contemporary conversations.
