Runway’s biggest stars, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, and Candice Swanepoel, strutted through the catwalk in the newest edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Almost six years after its last appearance in 2018, the popular Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its grand return on October 15, 2024. Many know the event for its star models, dressed from head to toe in the lingerie brand’s pieces, as they strut through the catwalk wearing its signature angel wings.
The YouTube livestream of the 2024 show has garnered more than 12 million views since it first came out, as well as 773,000 likes. Indeed, the newest edition follows its predecessors with a glittering list of famous celebrities, modeling legends, and guest performances that made it an event to remember.

Lighting Up The Landmarks
Taking place in New York City (Brooklyn to be exact), the special show started off with a bang as the top of the Empire State Building lit up, transforming into a vision in pink that represented the brand’s core color.
Other famous landmarks around the world also glowed pink in celebration of the show’s return, including The Frame, Dubai; Worli Sea Link Bridge, Mumbai; Chong Nonsi Bridge, Bangkok; Colosseum, Rome; Eiffel Tower, Paris; Angel of the North, Gateshead, UK; Puerta de Alcalá, Madrid; Colpatria Tower, Bogota, Colombia; and Diana La Cazadora, Mexico City.
Angels, Modeling Legends, and More
Longtime angels made their comeback during the show, which made it extra special. These include Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, and Joan Smalls, who all have a special connection to the brand, which played a big role in their success stories as models.
New faces in the world of Victoria’s Secret also joined the beloved group, including Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, and Vittoria Ceretti. Of course, also present were other runway behemoths like Kate Moss (who marked her Victoria’s Secret debut alongside her daughter Lila Moss); Tyra Banks (who hosted the show and was an angel until 2005); and the Hadid sisters (who also have a long history with the brand). In fact, Gigi Hadid opened the show while her sister Bella closed it, a perfect full circle moment for the two angels who’ve become industry icons in recent years. Other celebrity guests included Ice Spice, Tyga, Jodie Turner-Smith, Dylan Sprouse, and Queen Latifah, to name a few.
Three Powerful Women
It’s not a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show without its guest performer, and past events have had the likes of Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna, Justin Timblerlake, and Halsey performing their renowned tunes for the models to strut to.
This year, it was only fitting that the show invited one of the hottest singer-rappers in K-pop, fashion, and beyond to open it: LISA. The star made her entrance through a sleek motorcycle ride with pink streaks, reminiscent of the music video for her hit song “Rockstar” (which she opened the show with). She also performed her other recent tune “Moonlit Floor” decked out in black, lacy lingerie pieces like the next set of models in the show, complete with matching gold wings.
Up next was Tyla, the South African music sensation who took the world by storm with her hit “Water,” which she performed during the show. Decked out in sparkling silver lingerie and fluffy wings, she also sang “PUSH 2 START.”
But this wasn’t the end of the guest performances, as the one and only Cher also graced the runway with her presence. The music legend sang her hits “Strong Enough” and “Believe,” which had the audience dancing and applauding, lighting up the dance floor and providing a dramatic close to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’s exciting return.
A New Era for Victoria’s Secret?
Victoria’s Secret has experienced an image overhaul in recent years, mainly as a response to valid criticisms about the brand’s outdated image of femininity and myopic choice of body figures that have made many audiences feel ostracized, leading to a decline in viewership. The presence of more diverse body shapes and skin tones in its recent show may prove that the brand is staying committed to its efforts of becoming a more inclusive brand that would empower every woman.
