Whiskey lovers rejoice! The first ever Johnnie Walker House in Manila opened last Friday, and is offering a ton of fun games and activities to spice up the local night life scene. Located at Burgos Park (the area right beside Tipsy Pig), Johnnie Walker has taken over the space and transformed it into a sleek haven for fans of the famous drink. The well-designed wooden structure includes a highball bar, an al fresco sitting area, and a personalized whiskey vault for VIP bottle keep. The Johnnie Walker House will be at Burgos Park in Forbes Town until October 25 (open every Tuesday to Saturday, from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM), then it moves to a new location in Greenbelt 3.

The Johnnie Walker House is a physical testament to the progressive and pioneering spirit that continues to make Johnny Walker the number 1 scotch in the world,” shares Cesar Gangoso, Marketing Director of Diageo Philippines, the local distributor of Johnnie Walker.

With the launch of the Johnnie Walker House’s first location, expect a series of exciting activities and events. On October 12, there will be a pre-game show for All the Noise 2018, a music festival set to happen this month. Local acts such as Sandwich, Cheats and Jason Dhakal are amongst the artists expected to play sets. AXN will then take over the house on October 19 with their signature Freedom Friday event that will include live performances, games and giveaways. Before the Johnnie Walker House moves to Greenbelt on October 25, Purveyr will kick off the #JohnnieWeekend x Sound Fiesta live series on October 20.
Don’t limit yourself from visiting the whiskey haven even on weekdays. Johnnie Walker has plenty other activities such as quiz nights, bar take-overs and collaboration weekends planned for the BGC run. With the rainy season behind us, the outdoor space is an ideal location to re-discover your love for whiskey. The new bespoke highballs are truly something to enjoy.
