“L is for love (and luxury)” for the Peninsula Manila during this love season. Old Manila provides a five course dinner menu that Chef de Cuisine Gaël Kubler created. The refined delicacies includes their Toro tuna carpaccio, seared foie gras baklava, calamansi mint sorbet, and a main course of either a black angus beef tenderloin or sea bass papillote. Guests will love their raspberry and white chocolate with compote, gel, and sorbet.
Peninsula Manila’s The Lobby meanwhile includes a four-course dinner. The Valentine’s Day package includes tuna tartare, a butternut velouté, and a main course of either a grilled angus beef tenderloin or Maine lobster linguine. A pièce de resistance of white chocolate and strawberry will be served for dessert. Martin Avila will play the grand piano and serenade the crowd with a guest vocalist while couples enjoy their meals.
Escolta will serve an exquisite lunch and dinner buffet with a variety of Valentine’s themed selections. The Peninsula will hold a pop-up boutique in The Lobby, where you can choose among their pastry team’s handmade framed chocolate hearts. Nobu Manila offers a five-course tasting menu exclusively available on February 14. It comes with a complimentary welcome drink and a selection of zensai. The course starts with a trio of Nobu canape selection of oyster tomato gelee, shima-aji (striped jack) with aji amarillo, and black cod butter lettuce. Assorted sushis come next, followed by Hokkaido scallop and lobster duo. Crystal Dragon prepared a Chinese-Cantonese dinner for the holiday of love. A glass of France Chateau d’ Esclans Rosé sets the dining mood. Braised sea treasures in golden sour soup, five-spice marinated pigeon, and crispy egg noodle with king tiger prawn follows. Haliya introduces their four-course dinner with their Prawn and Crab followed by their Mushroom Krema. The main course is Beef Tenderloin with a red wine jus and a symphony of vegetables and saba banana. Dessert includes a decadent chocolate sphere with a red velvet cube, passion fruit and berries, and cotton candy. The restaurant will provide mocktails for diners too.
