The Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel was transformed into a dark and elegant setting with multi-leveled platforms and a plethora of red roses for the 7th Red Charity Gala. Co-Chairpersons Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga once again put their resources and connections together to organize an event that raised close to 5 million pesos for the Philippine National Red Cross and Assumption HS Batch ’81 Foundation. Guests that evening enjoyed a four-course dinner, while Arthur Manuntag and his son Sean and chanteuse Aliya Parcs serenaded the crowd. As a special treat Tessa surprised everyone when she came out to sing “The Lady Is A Tramp” with Arthur.
The highlight of the evening was the fashion show that featured the stunning collection of London based designer Lesley Mobo, directed by Ariel Lozada and styled by Noel Manapat, showcased an array of bright colored sequined asymmetrical dresses, pantsuits and evening gowns that brought the audience to its feet at the end of the show. His technique and over the top designs has catapulted him to superstardom in the UK.
