Anj Asuncion and Martin Aguilar celebrate their love with their family and friends, the true highlight of their wedding day.

Who would have thought that a simple horoscope would change Anj Asuncion and Martin Aguilar’s lives forever?
Anj decided to go out one fateful night because her Yahoo horoscope predicted that she would meet someone who would change her life forever.
Anj met Martin with help from their mutual friends. She felt an instant connection with him from the get-go. Martin spared no time getting to know her. In fact, he even went as far as booking a last minute flight two nights before a Sinulog festival celebration upon learning that she would be attending there.
They tied the knot in Bali, Indonesia on June 8th of this year.

AMIDST THE UPS AND DOWNS
They shared nine beautiful years together prior to marrying each other. They’ve had their share of highs and lows from when Anj was only a recent graduate and Martin was just starting out his career.
Personality wise, Anj is very personable whereas Martin is more on the serious side, but still knows how to let loose. They’ve held on to each other despite their differences through traveling extensively, watching each other evolve, and celebrating their wins in life.
She remarked that one of the factors that really solidified their relationship is surrounding themselves with their like-minded, close-knit friends, who worked hard for their careers but still found time to enjoy the little things. Truly, with a supportive circle of friends and family, a relationship is bound to succeed.
A HUNDRED PROMISES
“The proposal came nine years into our relationship, delayed due to the pandemic,” Anj narrated. “It took place in the idyllic Balesin Island, where Martin orchestrated the event down to the last detail.” Their close friends graced them with their presence for the joyous occasion.
Martin’s romantic gesture included flying in a violinist and photographers for the occasion. He arranged the island’s spa gardens as the proposal setting. Lanterns containing one hundred written promises to Anj adorned the dimly lit gardens.
The violinist began to play as she walked down the aisle of lanterns. He awaited her at the end with an unconventional ring designed by Janina Dizon. The rest, as they say, is history.
GUESTS AS THE TRUE HIGHLIGHT
Martin and Anj said I do in Apurva Kempinski’s chapel. Anj wore an elegant white gown from Vera Wang, with her veil and gloves intricately embroidered with floral patterns. Martin looked dashing with his simple yet classy ensemble from Dior.
Anj added that what stood out about their wedding was its brevity and heartfelt tone due to the people who attended. “Their presence was electrifying, filling the venue with incredible energy and support,” Anj added.
The atmosphere from the beginning to the end evoked an energy that was simply magical. Everyone seamlessly came together and formed a united and joyful family.
