Day 3 Of Fashion Week Asia 2026: Backstage And On The Runway

By

The third day of Fashion Week Asia 2026 closed the week’s runway presentations at Palacio de Memoria, with collections from the Philippines’ Novèl by Prince Padilla, Thailand’s WISHARAWISH, Hong Kong’s PONDER.ER, and Taiwan’s Sophie Hong.

Asia 2026 Day 3 continued the momentum with a show-stopping set of collections.  Opening the program was Thai designer Wisharawish Akarasantisook’s eponymous label WISHARAWISH, with an eclectic yet cohesive Salade de Fruits collection bearing a playful mix of textures and silhouettes; followed by Hong Kong’s PONDER.ER, designers Alex Po and Derek Cheng’s collection taking cues from the cables lines and surrounding architecture of Fragrant Harbour; the Philippines’ Novèl, Prince Padilla presenting an evidently personal collection paying homage to the women in his life and a childhood in England; and Taiwan’s Sophia Hong, whose collection embodied her ethos of showcasing the inextricable bond between wearer and garment through both process and design.

While the showcase of this year’s roster of designers is coming to an end, there’s still plenty to look forward to in the coming days, including the Re-See and Fashion Forward Asia Forum, which opens the floor for conversations on supporting emerging talent, as well as furthering fashion’s function as a powerful medium for storytelling, image-making, and cultural expression.

Catch up on what went down the runway at Fashion Week Asia’s third day, with venue partners Newport World Resorts and Palacio De Memoria.

2024 LVMH Prize for Young Designers semi-finalist PONDER.ER from Hong Kong drew inspiration from the cable lines and architecture of their surroundings for the collection Loose Ends. Each look featured a distinctive crumpled fabric treatment, juxtaposing the familiarity of everyday silhouettes with the spontaneity of unconventional fabric manipulation. The resulting collection is a study in structure, where the ordinary becomes something unexpected.

Sophie Hong (Taiwan)

Sophie Hong closed the runway days of Fashion Week Asia 2026. In her conversation with Lifestyle Asia, the designer shared that her work is rooted in the study of people and their relationship with clothes. The goal is to create pieces meant to be worn doe years, and her latest collection brought that ethos to life through timeless silhouettes and a self-developed textile, proving that great design moves you in the moment, then stays with you well beyond the runway.
