Leo Cadete and Elim Moreno’s Bali wedding was everything they could have ever dreamed of.

Leo Cadete and Elim Moreno have been in each other’s lives for 17 years now, since they first met during their school’s orientation at the gym in St. Paul University Iloilo. Now based in Australia, Leo is currently working as a chef while Elim is a nurse.

Having known each other for half of their lives, passion and disagreements often collide. The couple considers this a natural part of any relationship. “As we grow older together, and the more mature we become, the more we truly understand the meaning of love,” Leo shares with Lifestyle Asia.
CREATING BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS
After years of growing as a couple, the proposal happened in South Korea in June of 2019. Four years later, the destination wedding took place on August 26, 2023 at The Apurva Kempinski in Bali, Indonesia.
The wedding planning process was no easy task, since Leo and Elim were still juggling their full time jobs and businesses. It took them almost a year to finalize their plans with their busy schedules, especially because the bride was fully hands-on with most of the details of their wedding.
In the end, the couple handpicked the best of the best suppliers from the Philippines, including event stylist Gideon Hermosa and organizer Amanda Tirol. The wedding professionals were already familiar with each other, having collaborated on events in the past. “All we can say is that they were destined to work together with our dream wedding,” Leo shares.
TO A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES
Leo and Elim tied the knot with a traditional Christian wedding, officiated by a good friend and mentor of theirs, Pastor Normandy Notes of Ikthus Iloilo. The newlyweds fell in love with all the details that brought their special day to life, describing it as their “dream wedding.”
