A24’s upcoming documentary film You Can See Everything turns its camera on Elizabeth Holmes and the strange aftermath of the Theranos scandal.
Nathan Fielder built his career finding the exact spot where sincerity and performance blur into each other. For You Can See Everything (2026) —his feature directing debut, co-piloted with Lance Oppenheim—it seems as if he found the perfect subject in health tech entrepreneur-turned-convict Elizabeth Holmes.

Who Is Elizabeth Holmes?
Holmes founded Theranos in 2003 at only 19 after dropping out of Stanford University. The company promised a blood-testing technology that could run hundreds of diagnostic tests from a single finger prick. Theranos raised hundreds of millions from investors including Rupert Murdoch and Larry Ellison, and at its peak, was once valued at nine billion dollars.
The technology never worked as advertised. In 2022, a jury convicted Holmes of fraud. She began an 11-year sentence in 2023. Her story has already been told through Hulu’s limited series The Dropout, but this project is all the more uncanny, because Holmes invited the cameras in herself.
How You Can See Everything Documents A Three-Year Descent
Conversations around You Can See Everything started in 2023. Co-director Lance Oppenheim told Fielder that Holmes and her partner Billy Evans had approached A24, wanting their story documented on their own terms. Fielder assumed the Theranos saga had been told from every angle, but curiosity won out. 34 days before Holmes reported to prison, Fielder, Oppenheim, and a small crew moved into her orbit. What was supposed to be a portrait stretched into a three-year process that A24 calls “a journey into the abyss,” one that reportedly captures Evans negotiating his own cut of the profits with A24 executives, apparently without Holmes’ knowledge.
The Filipino Artist Behind You Can See Everything’s Official Poster
The official poster was designed by Miguel Lugtu, a Filipino artist whose key work has run through A24 titles like Sing Sing (2024) and the much-anticipated Anthony Bourdain biopic, Tony. On Instagram, Lugtu called the documentary “the wildest thing I’ve worked on, hands down!”
A24 released the film’s one-minute, 17-second teaser trailer on September 7. It presents Fielder and Holmes locked into conversation, seemingly trading riddles rather than small talk. Holmes stares at Fielder and tells him, “I don’t have anything to deceive you on. Of course, I’m not deceiving you.” Fielder pauses, looking at a loss for words, then responds in his deadpan, “Okay, good chat.”
What Happens Next?
The film premiered as a secret screening at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival on September 6, 2026. A24 is set to release it in theaters this October 16, 2026.
