The 2023 edition of this bridal fair gathered the Metro’s best suppliers and fashion designers in its biggest showcase to date.
This is an excerpt from Lifestyle Asia’s July 2023 Issue.
The Peninsula Manila’s annual bridal fair was a sight to behold for many attendees. Entitled “Weddings at The Peninsula and More,” the two-day event gathered the country’s best wedding suppliers to create a one-stop shop for couples who plan to tie the knot.
Organized by renowned events planner Christine Ong-Te, this year’s edition of the fair was the largest one yet—both in scope and venue. In an interview with Lifestyle Asia, Ong-Te revealed that she wanted the event to have more immersive exhibitions that would provide a “wedding-like” atmosphere for couples to better help them envision their own special day.
True enough, she went above and beyond expectations with the help of top event designers in the industry.

CREATING THE PERFECT ATMOSPHERE
Upon entering the hotel’s lobby, guests were greeted by its recognizable jeepney installation— which was tastefully embellished with lush flower arrangements by Dave Sandoval. The hotel’s majestic staircase was covered in Gideon Hermosa’s sophisticated decorative touches, while the Rigodon Ballroom featured Michael Ruiz’s stunning work right at the center.
For the first time in the fair’s history, the Rigodon Courtyard Garden was opened to guests as a beautiful “ceremony” area designed by Teddy Manuel. It’s here where couples might’ve imagined themselves holding a verdant garden wedding. Meanwhile, the hotel’s Garcia Villa Balmori Balagtas function rooms were transformed into a “cocktail” area next to the ballroom, enhanced with pocket decor from Blooms Event Styling.
The second floor was opened to attendees as well, further expanding the event’s space. The floor’s Conservatory and Upper Lobby served as “wedding afterparty” venues, designed with inimitable finesse by Amante Fleurs, Gary Dacanay, and Randy Lazaro. Other acclaimed suppliers like Robert Blancaflor, Zenas Pineda, Stan Creatives, and Joyce Aguilar also provided elegant pocket decor for these areas.
A ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR COUPLES
Ong-Te ensured that she selected only the best suppliers to feature in the wedding fair. “I’m very happy with their craftsmanship; they’re very credible,” she explained to Lifestyle Asia, noting that she only chose people she’s had the best experience working with.
Suppliers in attendance included prestigious winery brand Moët & Chandon, Kim Torres Events, photographer Pat Dy, host RJ Ledesma, makeup artist Chie Gonzales, Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Cinemaworks Videography, Jimmy Choo, Turkish Airlines, Pastry Bin, Calligraphy by Den, and J’s Diamond Jewellery, just to name a few.
