Chef Choi Hyun-seok Prepares Italian-Korean Fusion Dinners

Chef Choi Hyun-seok, who graced the hit Netflix show “Culinary Class Wars,” will be treating guests to his sumptuous Italian-Korean cuisine in a special three-day collaboration.

Since its premiere on Netflix, the Korean cooking competition Culinary Class Wars has made waves in the foodie community, offering an adrenaline-pumping and nail-biting spectacle that pits chefs of different skill levels—divided into the newbie “Black Spoons” and seasoned “White Spoons”—against each other in a thrilling gastronomic showdown. This coming April, fans of the show need not travel to South Korea to get a taste of the tantalizing cuisine from the popular series. “White Spoon” Chef Choi Hyun-seok will be bringing his signature Culinary Class Wars dishes to the Philippines in a special, three-day collaboration with Finestra at Solaire Resort North

With over 30 years of experience, Choi is one of South Korea’s most renowned celebrity chefs, running the highly-lauded Korean-European fusion restaurant CHOI. in Seoul. The chef will be making his way to the Philippines to treat guests to back-to-back dinners at Finestra Solaire Resort North from April 5 to 7, 2025

Each dinner is a five-course meal prepared by Chef Choi himself, with dishes featuring the rich flavors of Korean and Italian cuisine straight from the Netflix series. This includes his famous Jang Trio Steak, highlighting three different Korean jang sauces (fermented, soy-based sauces in traditional Korean cuisine) to complement the dish’s Korean beef steak, Kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), and white asparagus.

Chef Choi will also be preparing his signature Vongole—which became a memorable fixture of the show after it earned a high ranking despite the fact that he forgot to add garlic, a key ingredient (which guests will definitely get this time around).

To spice things up (because what’s a special dinner without its special offers?), the chef will also bring his delectable amuse-bouche and dessert dishes exclusively for Solaire Resort North diners.

Those who miss the chance to reserve a dinner with Chef Choi in person don’t need to fret, as his signature dishes will be available for a limited time at Finestra (both in Solaire Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North) until July 6, 2025.
