Open House World Welcomes The Creative Community Home

By

The newest creative hub in Salcedo is equal parts gallery, music studio, café, and cocktail bar. Yet, it’s designed for one thing: community and connection.

Over the past few years, Salcedo Village in Makati has grown into a coveted address, especially among young people drawn to its laid-back, community-driven atmosphere. Beyond its residential appeal, the neighborhood now brims with new businesses: cafés, restaurants, wellness centers, vintage stores, independent bookstores, and flower shops, all of which give it a distinct and vibrantly art-forward edge. Now, the neighborhood is once again at the forefront of what’s new with the arrival of Open House World, a multi-creative penthouse space on the eighth floor of the Alpap I Building along Leviste Street.

Though it began operating quietly mid-last year, it has since emerged as a hub for brand activations, workshops, private gatherings, and collaborative projects, quickly carving out a place within Manila’s creative and cultural scene.

A Space For The Creativity Community

At its core, Open House World is designed as a flexible environment for both work and social exchange. The sprawling penthouse brings together a versatile photo studio for editorial shoots and exhibitions; a fully equipped music suite for DJ rehearsals, recording, music production, and artist collaborations; and a café with a relaxed daytime setting for meetings over thoughtfully curated drinks and bites. By night, the space transforms into a cocktail bar—an inviting venue for social gatherings and community-driven events. “Open House World was created to champion the creative community and provide an ecosystem where ideas can grow,” shared Co-Founder and Creative Director Gabs Gibbs.

We wanted to build a space that doesn’t just host creativity but actively inspires it,” added Co-Founder and CEO Marga Bermudez. “Where photographers, musicians, entrepreneurs, and brands can come together under one roof.”

Beyond its role as a physical hub, Open House World also operates as a brand experience group, specializing in the curation, consultancy, and production of content and events across fashion, lifestyle, art, music, culinary, and entertainment. Joining Bermudez and Gibbs on the leadership team are Sam Bermudez (Chief Financial Officer), Jullian Culas (Chief Marketing Officer), and Sabina Santiago (Front of House).

Gastronomy From Day To Night

Delicious bites and beverages are available at Open House World from morning to night, allowing it to shift seamlessly from a charming Salcedo café by day into a more dynamic, high-energy space after dark. During the day, a range of well-crafted drinks delivers the kind of caffeine fix creatives swear by: from the smooth, comforting Earl Grey Latte to the calming Matcha Coco and rich yet cozy Peanut Butter Latte, which pair perfectly with the light snacks. Standouts include the Bruschetta Schmear, an herby, toasted bite topped with baby tomatoes and balsamic glaze; and the hearty Chick Norris Sandwich, filled with golden, crispy fried chicken and served with Cajun fries on the side.

As evening sets in, the space takes on a different rhythm, cocktails and music shaping the mood. The drinks menu is built around whatever you’re in the mood for: a Mezcal Negroni for quieter, introspective nights (or for impressing the unshakeable), and perhaps a Vesper Martini for extra elevated, Bond-esque energy. Whatever the occasion, Open House World ties it all together with good drinks, good music, and a fun creative crowd that blurs the line between a night out and a shared artistic experience.
