Prized possessions
The showrooms are certainly sights to behold. Louie’s collection of thirty classic cars occupies the vast space of the ground floor. On the second level are the elegant gowns of Mellie Ablaza and the masterpieces of the couple’s second son Jun Jun Ablaza. Louie’s collection and treatment of his luxury cars awed the guests the most. Half are original variants of Volkswagen like the Beetle of 1938. The vintage cars are in good running condition, proven with how they were driven to Hacienda Amelia.

Fondness for race
The set up of the celebration replicated Louie’s fondness for vintage, luxury cars. A whimsical car theme decorated the large space inside the grand pavilion. Printed car plates hung from above while checkered racing flag-inspired prints covered curtains and table covers. Even the enormous birthday cake of Louie is made of racing track decors like cars and flags.
In his speech, Louie shared his fondness for cars and drag racing. He recounted how he raced his Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The race went from Manila to Dagupan and Pangasinan and back to win Amelia. “My Amelia ended my last race and married me,” Louie shared. His bright smile and earnest conversations with his guests filled the celebration with a warm ambiance.
