Asian Stars Shine At This Year’s Fall/Winter Fashion Week

The annual fashion events gather famous names from all over the world, including the brightest celebrities from Asia.

Throughout the month, this annual event has been taking place in the world’s biggest fashion capitals. From New York and London to Milan and Paris, these Asian celebrities have been dominating Fashion Week this year.

New York

More and more K-pop stars have become luxury brand ambassadors these past couple of years. Case in point, Twice’s Dahyun attended Michael Kors’ New York runway show as its global brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, her co-member Nayeon was at Tommy Hilfiger’s fashion show, which 2PM’s Lee Junho attended as well. Red Velvet’s Seulgi attended the Thom Browne show on the event’s last day, which fell on Valentine’s Day.

Monsta X’s Shownu actually walked the runway as the Concept Korea 2024 F/W season ambassador. Pentagon’s Kino was also at the fashion show as an attendee.

London

Chinese actress and BAFTA nominee Tang Wei attended the Burberry 2024 F/W fashion show which took place on February 19. There she met South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun (known for The Legend of the Blue Sea, Kingdom, and Jirisan).

The two stars’ encounter drew attention from both of their fanbases, especially when they posted the selfie they took together. Tang Wei also posted a photo with Jung Yu-mi, who she worked with in the upcoming film Wonderland. One of her other selfies featured Thai actor Bright.

Milan

In Milan, NCT’s Doyoung and actress Moon Ga-young drew attention at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show. Serving bold, all-black looks, the two made fans swoon when the K-pop star offered his jacket to the actress, covering her in her sheer outfit from the cold.

Doyoung’s fellow NCT members Jungwoo and Jeno were also at Milan Fashion Week, representing Tod’s and Ferragamo respectively. Along with Jungwoo, Red Velvet’s Joy also attended the Tod’s runway show.

Aespa’s Ningning and Stray Kids’ Hyunjin were both at the Versace event, sitting next to Hollywood A-lister Anne Hathaway. Seventeen’s Hoshi and DK were the stars at their respective events for Diesel and Bally.

Welcome to Samdalri star Ji Chang-wook wore an all-white suit at the Giorgio Armani show while actress Kim Tae-ri from Twenty-Five Twenty-One was in vintage Prada for the brand’s womenswear show.

Other stars who made the trip to Milan include IVE’s Yujin and (G)Idle’s Yuqi for Fendi, NewJeans’ Hanni for Gucci, and Girls Generation’s Seohyun for Brunello Cucinelli.

Paris

Paris Fashion Week is still ongoing until March 5, but Asian stars have already left their mark. Another NCT member, Johnny, turned heads at the event at Acne Studios’ show. The K-pop star wore a knee-length coat over a black collared jacket which he left unzipped. The upcoming girl group ILLIT was also at the same event, appearing at Fashion Week before their official debut.

Wherever they go, Blackpink members will always be in the spotlight. It was no different when Jisoo made an appearance as Dior’s global ambassador, pairing her sophisticated blazer mini-dress with cute pigtails.

Meanwhile, Rosé wore a sheer brown gown and large sunglasses at the Saint Laurent show. She’s been an ambassador for the brand since 2020.

Seventeen’s Mingyu also attended Dior’s runway show, making his Paris Fashion Week debut. The group’s youngest member, Dino, was at Off-White’s event. This is the Italian luxury house founded by designer Virgil Abloh.
