Harlan + Holden just introduced a new collection that is meant to reflect the way we want to dress today. Called “Theraphy,” the line is focused on comfort, versatility and one-step dressing.
The brand, which started in Manila in 2015 but now oversees its 20 stores around the region from its Seoul headquarters, describes Therapy as being for work-from-home go-getters.
Comfort living
Harlan + Holden creative director Alessandra Facchinetti was first given the collection’s sneaker as a starting point.
“Its modern shape, airy lightness and stamped clear sole proclaiming an intention inspired me to think of clothes full of ease and versatility that would complement this comfort-inducing shoe,” says Facchinetti, who has joined the label last year after stints at Gucci, Valentino, and Tod’s.
The celebrated Bergamo-born fashion designer continues to describe the collection as representing a new era of the way we live, what we are looking for in clothes, how these pieces serve us.
“The silver lining of the last year, if there is one, is that we have refocused our energy and time toward doing the things that make us most happy and fulfilled and I hope the Therapy collection in some small way will help us on that journey,” the 48-year-old says.
All-day dressing
Lightness, breathability, and versatility are the key values of the Therapy shoes, which are available in black, dark green, white, and nude. It is meant to be comfortably worn from leisure activity to leisure activity throughout the day, with its insole made from double-layer Therapy Lite memory foam.
The same approach is used for Harlan + Holden’s new men’s and women’s pieces. One-step dressing is reflected in new elasticated details on the collection’s shirts, dresses, shorts, trouser waists, and jacket back panels.
Calm tones of baby blues, dusty pinks, soft yellow, mint green, and cappuccino nudes are mixed with light cottons, which is a key fabric for the collection.
Freedom of movement
New short sleeve shirts double up as light cover-ups in the men’s collection, which mixes leisurewear and new uniform separates. It makes liberal use of bermuda shorts as a way to emphasize comfort and freedom of movement.
In the women’s line, the Crop Cuts Tank cotton bra, elastic waisted shorts, and stretch viscose leggings are its key pieces easy.
Made from crisp cotton poplin for a light but structured silhouette, the Crop Cuts Tank features a flattering scoop neckline and exposed cut details. This can be paired with either the Wide Poplin Shorts or a Poplin Kilt Skirt.
