Happy Ongpauco-Tiu is a restaurateur and businesswoman. Her family is also in the restaurant business, but she runs own catering company, Private Dining by Happy Concept, as well as her restaurants Pamana, Tsokolateria, Lé Chon by Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, and I love Backyard BBQ. Happy also has a lifestyle store — My Happy Home (MHH).

My Happy Home’s concept is centered on creating a personalized space with a touch of elegance and uniqueness. They aim to transform any space into a more joyful and happy corner with their customer’s own creativity. The place is a dream land for a homemaker or someone who just loves to eat or cook. It is also a great place to shop for a gift for any occasion.
This comes as no surprise because her catering service always has such beautifully arranged spreads and table arrangements. It is known that Happy sometimes uses her own personal collection of precious Hermès plates in her privately catered small dinners.
Happy started MHH in 2020. It began as an idea to offer unique, high-quality dinnerware and home essentials during the pandemic through online sales. The goal at that time was to pivot her food businesses while still providing jobs for her staff to help them, as well as meeting the growing demand for home-related products.
Department stores sell plates and glasses too, so why did she open MHH? She says while department stores offer standard options, MHH aims to provide personally selected, premium-quality items with a focus on style and creativity. Her goal is to offer unique pieces that inspire creativity in the home, infused with her clients’ personal touch.
Aside from plates, glasses, placemats, coasters, and utensils, customers will find so much more in MHH. In addition to dinnerware, there is a wide range of home essentials, such as serving trays, storage containers, tablecloths, napkins, candles, decorative items, and more — basically everything needed to create a beautifully set table and a welcoming space.
The current branch of MHH is in the new Greenhills Mall and is doing quite well. They are constantly exploring opportunities for growth and expansion, and opening additional branches is definitely part of her long-term plans. She is currently working on finding the perfect locations that align with her brand values. Happy is also open to collaborations with local designers or artists on certain plate designs. She believes in the value of supporting local talent and offering customers unique, limited-edition collections that reflect artistry and craftsmanship.
