So, what did our seven dads include on their Father’s Day wishlist? Find out their top picks below.
Walter McCaffrey
3D jewelry printing expert and dad, Walter McCaffrey, had a list that primarily had health-centric items on it. These items include Isopure Protein, which strengthens muscles when paired with fitness training or workouts. Walter also mentioned creatine monohydrate, a dietary supplement increasing muscle performance in high-intensity resistance exercises.
Other items on his wishlist contains Acuo Gum, boxer briefs from H&M, and butcheron, a type of chicharon.
Bernard Fah
Bernard Fah is a precious metal trader by profession, but at the end of the day is a thoughtful and caring father to his children. He, too, provided a wishlist containing both material and bonding moments.
On his list are a one-year subscription on Flixtor, a streaming platform, and a pair of Air Jordan 3 sneakers. He included a steak dinner, a scuba diving trip, and hiking in Davao as bonding ideas he would like to experience with his family.
Patrick Garcia
For fund manager and dad Patrick Garcia, techy and stylish items topped his Father’s Day wishlist. He’s hoping to get a pair of On Cloudmonster 2 running shoes as well as an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Airpods Pro 2 to stay on-the-go.
His list encompassed a Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffee Maker to brew a perfect coffee cup. Patrick would also love a Groove Life RFID Wallet in Carbon Fiber or Aluminum Case, a sleek and secure addition to his everyday essentials.
Brian Hontiveros
General Manager of Modularity Home Brian Hontiveros expressed that a trip with his family to a cold city topped his wishlist. “Since it’s too hot here now!” he added. Accompanying this request is a dish of fatty tuna sashimi with sake in Japan.
He then enumerated three more essentials that made it to his list of desired gifts.
“A GMT or dual time watch [would be ideal for me] to track Philippine time when I am in another country,” he said. “A good gym trainer and time to go to the gym diligently is also in my wishlist because health is wealth. [Another item I would love to have] is Apple’s new iPad Pro since I do a lot of kitchen sketches and plans for my work.”
Mike Lagman
Co-Chief Executive of MC Geometric Proportions Inc. Mike Lagman has a Father’s Day wishlist full of immaterial things.
What headed the list was quality time. “Spending time with my family is the best! Enjoying board games or simply having heartfelt conversations [is enough.]” He commented that he would also want to receive a handwritten letter. It may be old school, but it is a personal and thoughtful gesture that for Mike would be cherished for a lifetime.
The construction executive said he also misses home cooked meals that his kids execute. “The effort and love put into preparing a homemade meal will make a truly meaningful gift.”
He also added a golf and tennis game as well as hosting barbecue parties for his family on his Father’s Day wishlist. “Barbecuing is a rewarding experience and I find great joy in hosting them,” he remarked. “It is a special skill of mine, and my kids absolutely enjoy it.”
Webster Letargo
Gumaca, Quezon Mayor Webster Letargo kept his list simple yet impactful, combining his preferences, wishes for his boys, as well as people under his jurisdiction.
He wants, more than ever, for his boys to finish school. He also yearns for a scholarship fund for deserving students in his municipality and classrooms for elementary schools in Gumaca.
For himself, all he wants is a Mount Pulag trip and a 100-inch television.
Peter Murray
The Society of Publishers in Asia board member Peter Murray also shared his wishlist, starting with a thoughtful creation from his loved ones. “A poem, note, or passage that expresses their feelings and lets me know more about them,” he clarified. “Something handwritten in a small piece of paper which can be framed [is something I would love to receive.” He also desires a prepared, home-cooked meal from his loved ones.
A couple of items he incorporated in his Father’s Day wishlist is a pair of Hoka Bondi running shoes and vinyl LPs. “Books like fictional detective novels or nonfiction such as a history genre are also ones I would love to receive,” he said.
