Lifestyle Asia ushers in a fresh new era with a summer party celebrating cover star Rocio Zobel and the magazine’s grand return to print.
A tropical oasis awaited guests at the Garden Pavilion of the Grand Hyatt in Bonifacio Global City, as people gathered to celebrate an exciting new chapter in Lifestyle Asia‘s history: a print comeback marked by the launch of its first quarterly issue under new editorial leadership. More than a new look, the heritage media brand is also adopting a fresh voice and direction for a new generation of readers. Titled “La Dolce Vita,” the summer soiree is a nod to both Lifestyle Asia‘s initials (LA) and the brand’s new tagline, “Welcome to the Good Life.”

La Dolce Vita
Made possible through the sponsorship of Ploom and Havaianas, La Dolce Vita was emblematic of the thrilling refresh with its vibrant decor, inspired cocktails and food, live performances, and curated mix of guests—including the next wave of Filipino tastemakers and creatives who reflect the magazine’s evolution.

The new Lifestyle Asia pays homage to its heritage while embracing fresh perspectives from emerging entrepreneurs, artists, and young leaders making their mark across various industries. Taking a multidimensional approach to luxury, it centers around five key sections of the magazine: Self (wellness and potential); Style (personal expression through fashion and living); Experiences (engaging with the world through wine, food, and travel); Currents (the world we actively curate in business, technology, and politics); and Culture (transcending the individual to finding meaning as a community).

This holistic vision acknowledges that for today’s generation, luxury transcends its typical denotations, becoming a personalized journey of freedom and discovery.
Introducing A New Era
The program began with the introduction of Kerry Tinga—who was appointed Chief of Editorial Content last January—by Apples Aberin, Vice President for Lifestyle Media Brands under One Mega Group, Inc.

Tinga took the stage to deliver a rousing speech that thoughtfully articulated her vision for the publication. “Thank you so much to everyone for being here, for what I’m calling the official refresh party of Lifestyle Asia,” she expressed. “I really hope that Lifestyle Asia is both a guide and a thoughtful meditation on living the good life: whatever that means to you, you’ll hopefully find it within the pages of our issues and website.”

To quote her editor’s letter for the newest issue: “Luxury is the freedom to discover and pursue what ignites our passion, to curate a life that resonates with our individual spirit. Luxury is personal, and the possibilities endless. With this new direction, we’re not prescribing the good life, but inviting you to discover your good life.”

The new Chief of Editorial Content also introduced her dynamic editorial team, including Wellness Editor Alexandra Tan; Beauty Editor Monica Concepcion; Food and Travel Editor Maxine Alindogan; Business, Politics, and Technology Editor Paolo Vera; and Managing Editor Chino Hernandez. Tinga ended her speech thanking the editorial team, One Mega Group, Inc., and Lifestyle Asia‘s partners for their invaluable work in making a daring vision a reality.
And The Cover Star Is…
The main highlight of La Dolce Vita was the reveal of the first cover personality under Lifestyle Asia’s new era. This was none other than Rocio Zobel: the 22-year-old who embodies the young, bold, and inspired direction of the media title as it strives to cater to a new batch of society readers and personalities.

The exclusive cover story offers an intimate look at the young Zobel’s contemplative vision for her future as she returns to Manila to build her dreams and honor the home where her family’s legacy took root. Rocio’s parents Iñigo and Maricris were also present during the launch to support their daughter, proudly holding up copies of the new issue.

An Evening Of Refreshing Delights
Guests donned their best summer nights attire, which fit perfectly against the lively tropical backdrop enhanced by elegant furnishings and accessories from W/17 Home and Artifeks, portable lamps from Design Story, elegant rugs from Decoliving, and lush tropical plants from Spruce Designs, styled by Decorum by MIL.

Ploom enhanced the La Dolce Vita experience through a relaxing lounge area evoking a Mediterranean escape, where guests could sit back in sophisticated comfort.

Partygoers also indulged in an array of Cuban-inspired canapés prepared by Grand Hyatt BGC’s exceptional culinary team. These were paired with signature cocktails featuring 1800 Tequila, including refreshing margaritas and palomas that fit the theme, care of Premier Wine and Spirits.

Those with a craving for something sweet headed to the special ice cream cart from Farmacy of the Wildflour Hospitality Group to grab some tasty scoops.

A crowd-favorite was the AMP Band, which filled the space with the sound of Latin and big band jazz, helmed by the smooth vocals of band leader Mel Villena.

The night capped off on a high note as guests left the party in abuzz with excitement, holding a copy of the new issue and delighting in the stylish flip-flop giveaways from partner Havaianas—perfect for their next beach trip.
