Spotted: What These Celebrities Wore at Coachella 2022

We’ve rounded up our favorite looks, from “the queen of Coachella” to Filipino personalities.

After a three-year hiatus, Coachella made a loud comeback. With headliners like Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Swedish House Mafia x The Weeknd (who replaced the Ye after he pulled out), the desert event proved that live music has returned—and so has festival fashion.

Coachella tends to serve the same content an award show’s red carpet would. The festival regulars like Vanessa Hudgens and Paris Hilton whipped out the annual desert glam they’re known for.

And Filipino personalities like Raymond Gutierrez, Bretman Rock, Victoria’s Secret model Kelsey Merritt, and Revolve’s chief brand officer Raissa Gerona quickly shared their fashion moments online.

As expected, trends like skin-revealing silhouettes were all the rage—it’s the desert, after all. But other style takeaways included psychedelic patterns, a lot of neon, denim on denim, and even loungewear (old habits die hard).

Here are some of our favorite looks from the celebrities we spotted.

Vanessa Hudgens

She’s back! Like her Coachella days in previous years, Vanessa Hudgens, or the “Queen of Coachella,” didn’t scrimp on sharing her looks on Instagram. A handmade mesh dress by Natalia Fender was among her outfits—a piece made of over 900 feet of linked chain.

Paris Hilton

Lace, appliqué, and pink mesh were Paris Hilton’s style choices over the two weekends. In one look from Zaimara, the heiress wore a gold headpiece by Apatico. “You’re an unstoppable queen,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Don’t be afraid to always shine your light and wear your crown!”

Raissa Gerona

Revolve’s chief brand officer Raissa Gerona is one of the people behind the Revolve Festival—an annual invite-only event during Coachella’s first weekend. Although the exclusive party received mixed reviews—influencers shared on Tiktok that they were left “stranded” due to logistical issues—Gerona promised that Revolve would “do better” next year.

Two of her festival looks were a sheer mermaid-inspired beige gown and a cut-out swimsuit worn under denim cut-off shorts.

Raymond Gutierrez

The host, who’s been spending several months in the US, opted for ensembles that merge style and comfort. Gutierrez wore a patterned button-down by Balenciaga, shorts by Bode, and a colorful co-ord by Dries Van Noten.

Storm Reid

The Euphoria cast member showed up in a lightweight Etro outfit paired with Swarovski jewelry. At 18 years old, we wouldn’t be surprised if she grew up looking through Vanessa Hudgens’ Coachella outfits as inspiration—especially since she was styled by Hudgen’s stylist John Mumblo.

Bretman Rock

Some celebrities might try to stay low-key while enjoying the festival to avoid fanfare, but Bretman Rock was the opposite. In his Instagram post in a bright neon look by Berlin-based label Ottolinger, the social media star wrote: “So bright can’t miss me.”

Emma Chamberlain

Relatable is how we describe the Youtuber’s trajectory of looks. Chamberlain kicked off Coachella day one with a high-neck romper piece paired with R13 combat boots. On day two, she wore an all-red look with pieces from Vivienne Westwood, Diesel, and a custom top from LAPIIN LAPIIN.

By day three, Chamberlain shared a photo wearing a tank top, sneakers, and sweatpants with the caption “no, I am done.”

Kelsey Merritt

The American-Filipino Victoria’s Secret model enjoyed the festival with her VS colleague Sara Sampaio. Merritt leaned toward denim shorts for most of her looks and paired them with button-down shirts, long cardigans, and knee-length boots.
