By

FASHIONPhilippines returns to Milan Fashion Week with an arsenal of 12 Filipino labels, as well as a renewed focus on international growth.

As Filipino fashion continues to make its case on the international stage, FASHIONPhilippines is returning to Milan with a sharper focus on what it takes to turn creative recognition into lasting business. The showcase’s second edition is set to take place at Fondazione Sozzani from September 22 to 24, 2026, during the Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 run, with 12 Filipino labels presenting their work.

The FASHIONPhilippines Milan 2026 Lineup

Featured labels in this year’s FASHIONPhilippines Milan 2026 are Adam Pereyra Jewelry, Bagasáo, Calli, Ched Studio, Idyllic Summers, Iñigo, Jun Escario, Orias, Palengke, Renz Reyes, Viña Romero, and Ziv Rei Alexi. The lineup offers a cross-section of contemporary Filipino design, with the program addressing a question that follows many emerging brands beyond the runway: how do you build a business that can travel?

This year, the initiative places greater emphasis on brand development, buyer engagement, and international market access. Participating designers will attend sessions on pricing, line sheets, brand positioning, and international selling, with guidance from an eight-member panel led by Sara Sozzani Maino. The panel also includes Silvia Bertocchi, Veronica Bertozzi, Helena Boissonnas, Matteo Del Cherico, Marina Lyritzi, Marzia Narduzzi, Tetta Ortiz-Matera, and Riccardo Terzo.

Building For Buyers

“Our experience from the inaugural run affirmed the global potential of Filipino fashion while also showing the importance of strengthening brands’ readiness to compete internationally,” says Leah Pulido Ocampo, executive director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM). “For 2026, we are developing a more strategic program that gives equal importance to creativity, business development, and long-term market access.”

Philippine Fashion Coalition president Jackie C. Aquino asserts, “The business side of fashion is paramount.” Panelist Tetta Ortiz-Matera likewise stresses that international expansion requires more than a compelling collection. “Local brands must understand that doing business internationally requires a different mindset—from wholesale pricing and delivery timelines to collection structure and buyer engagement,” she explains.

The expanded program builds on the first edition, when two Filipino brands secured representation with Paris-based showrooms. This time, the organizers are strengthening the showroom and buyer component, with the aim of helping participating labels develop relationships that extend well past the exhibition.

A Long-Term Vision

FASHIONPhilippines Milan is supported by CITEM, DOST-PTRI, the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, the Philippine Fashion Coalition, and LIT Fashion Consultancy. The initiative forms part of a broader goal to develop globally competitive Filipino fashion brands by 2035.

The showcase will be held at Fondazione Sozzani, the Milan cultural institution founded by Carla Sozzani in 2016.
