MaArte Fair is set to return to The Peninsula Manila from August 13 to 16 for its 17th edition. This year’s theme, Karnabal, draws from the Manila Carnival, an annual event that was held from 1908 to 1939 before eventually evolving into what Filipinos now call the perya. 220 exhibitors are expected to fill the hotel this year, making it the fair’s largest edition since it began in 2009. It also coincides with The Peninsula Manila’s 50th anniversary, marking the eighth time the hotel has hosted the event. Alexie Nethercott
