Mariah Carey
When the holiday season comes around, you’ll probably hear Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” wherever you go. As the first on this list, the singer has 25 No. 1s on the two charts combined.
With 15 studio albums, six of them have landed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. She has had 19 singles at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, including the iconic Christmas song which still earns her millions every year.
Taylor Swift
Dominating the world with her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift is the second female artist with the most chart-topping hits. Ever since her Fearless era, every single one of her albums has been No. 1 on the Billboard 200, including the four re-recordings she has released so far.
She currently has 13 No. 1s on the Billboard 200 and 11 on the Hot 100, including the songs “Blank Space,” “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version),” and “Cruel Summer.” Swift is also the only woman with double-digit No. 1s on both rankings.
Madonna
The Queen of Pop herself comes in at third on this list. Madonna is known for constantly reinventing herself and her versatile discography. Her first chart-topping album was actually her second release, Like a Virgin in 1984.
Since then, eight more of her albums landed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, 12 of her singles topped the Hot 100, making it 21 No. 1s on both charts combined.
Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson, who just held her concert in Manila yesterday, is next on our list. As the youngest of the Jackson family, she has cemented her own name in the music industry, producing timeless hits.
She has 17 No. 1s on the two charts combined, including her latest album Unbreakable (released in 2015) as well as the songs “That’s The Way Love Goes” and “Together Again.”
