Super sleuth Benoit Blanc is back for another murder mystery.
Daniel Craig is joined by a whole roster of A-list celebrities in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.After Netflix bought the rights to the Knives Out franchise, the sequel’s theatrical release was limited to one week starting on November 23, 2022.
The star-studded cast flew over to the beautiful island of Spetses, Greece to film the movie. With their families along for the ride, director Rian Johnson says “It felt like a summer vacation where we also made a movie.”
The stunning property itself is as much of a character as the ones played by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and Leslie Odom Jr. The mansion’s onion-shaped glass dome drives home the point that the culprit is hiding in plain sight.

Norton’s character, tech billionaire Miles Bron, kicks off the plot by gathering his friends (frenemies?) at his Mediterranean villa. Similar to the first movie, no one is sure who invited Benoit Blanc. But one thing’s certain: the game is afoot.
What was supposed to be a fun murder mystery party takes a frightening turn when the lights go out and the detective pronounces one of the guests is dead.
Film critic Owen Gleiberman describes the movie as “A bigger, showier, even more elaborately multi-faceted shell-game mystery.” Going by Knives Out standards, the sequel is sure to provide its audience with plenty of surprises and twists that will have our heads spinning.
Finally getting its Netflix release on December 23, 2022, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery promises a playful and entertaining viewing experience this holiday season.
