Jewelmer pledges a portion of its October proceeds to aid Cebu communities affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake.
Last September 30, 2025, a massive 6.9 earthquake shook Cebu. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS) identified the source of the quake as a tectonic shift from an unnamed and unmapped offshore fault near Bogo City, Cebu. Furthermore, the earthquake was shallow, occurring at a depth of only 5 to 10 kilometers, which amplified its destructive impact on surface structures. The powerful tremor caused buildings and homes to collapse, leading to widespread displacement in its aftermath.
In the wake of this tragedy, compassion and solidarity have emerged as guiding lights, uniting communities in strength. From October 2 to October 31, 2025, Jewelmer will pledge a portion of the proceeds from purchases made in the Philippines to support those affected by the recent earthquake in Cebu—standing beside those most impacted and keeping the community close at heart.
