Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo’s La Inocencia brought art collectors and enthusiasts to the Leon Gallery for a private preview before the Kingly Treasures auction. Holding glasses with fine spirits and wine, guests got up close to Andres Barroquinto and took snaps of a Chabet. The cocktail table near Bencab’s Tres Marias held burrata and other nibbles by Cibo. Clientele moved among the curated selection of artwork that included a Jigger Cruz and an Elmer Borlongan oil on canvas. It was a preface to the main event a few days later when the rare Hidalgo fetched applause, admiration and Php36M on the auction floor.
