Renowned singer-songwriter Billy Joel has announced a line-up of North America concerts for 2024 featuring fellow music legends, Sting, and Stevie Nicks.

2024 has just begun, yet it’s sure to be an exciting year already with beloved singer-songwriter Billy Joel announcing concerts with other rock and roll legends, Sting, and Stevie Nicks. According to Billboard’s Gil Kaufman, Joel revealed his new performances on January 4. According to Billy Joel’s official website, the new gigs include a show in Seattle’s T-Mobile Park on May 24, another in Chicago’s Soldier Field on June 21 (with Stevie Nicks), his first Denver show in five years at Coors Field on July 12, and a show in St.Louis’ Busch Stadium on September 27 (with Sting), among others.

The series of shows come in tandem with Joel’s decade-long Madison Square Garden (MSG) residency, which he’ll also be ending this 2024, reports Sadie Bell of People. It’s an impressive feat, as Joel has run 150 sold-out shows throughout this time. The singer-songwriter began the residency in January 2014, as per Variety’s Jem Aswad, and by July 2015 he broke records as the artist with the most lifetime performances.

Such success is, of course, attributed to Joel’s immense talent as an artist, having been the mind behind some of the greatest songs of all time. These include Vienna, Uptown Girl, We Didn’t Start the Fire, Piano Man, and Just the Way You Are, to name a few (and there are many). His music has transcended generations and cultures, winning him countless awards and honors. To date, the musician has received 23 Grammy nominations and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Songbird

Any Billy Joel concert is already impressive in itself, but the upcoming 2024 shows with fellow rock legends Stevie Nicks and Sting are sure to be amazing collaborations. The world remembers Nicks for the indelible mark she made on her former band, Fleetwood Mac, having been the distinct voice behind the group’s timeless hits like Dreams, The Chain, Rhiannon, and Silver Springs.

She then moved on to start an incredibly successful solo career, with a total of 15 Grammy nominations, and a record of being the only female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Joel’s shows in 2024 aren’t his first collaborations with Nicks, as the pair started performing together in 2023 as part of their “Two Icons One Night Tour.”

Englishman In New York

Then there’s Sting, the stage name of renowned British singer-songwriter and former frontman of The Police, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner. Like Nicks and Joel, Sting is one of the most beloved musicians of all time, with dozens of successful shows and awards for his strong oeuvre of hits. These include Shape of My Heart, Englishman in New York, Every Breath You Take, and Roxanne. The performer also recently held a set of sold-out concerts in Manila’s Theater at Solaire last March 17 and 18, 2023.

With hundreds of Filipinos proving that they’re more than willing to travel overseas to watch their favorite artists, there’s certainly going to be a crowd of eager fans who are already planning to purchase tickets and book their flights for the show (or rather, shows) of a lifetime.
