Lifestyle Asia celebrates August 2026 cover stars Tasha and Bella Tanjutco with an intimate dinner at Toma Toma.
There’s only so much of a story we can fit onto a page. With RSVP LA, we want to take the world of Lifestyle Asia beyond it. For our latest gathering, we invited our August 2026 cover stars, Bella and Tasha Tanjutco, to Toma Toma for an intimate dinner with some of the people who are part of their story. Around the table were friends and collaborators from TAYO and Tukod Foundation, the teams and communities behind much of the world we explored in our cover story.

The setting felt fitting. Toma Toma is a modern Filipino restaurant in Makati that places local ingredients, flavors, and stories at the center of its food and drinks. For the evening, the team prepared a special menu for our guests, giving us something to gather around as conversations moved across the table.
In our August cover story, we looked at the different ways Bella and Tasha are helping shape what comes next. Through their design agency TAYO, they’re developing a Filipino design language informed by our archipelago and the people who create within it. Through Tukod Foundation, where they uphold the legacy of their grandfather, National Artist for Architecture Bobby Mañosa, that thinking takes another form, including work on Bayay Halian, a cultureCultureshared traditions, beliefs, values, customs, arts, and social practices that define the identity and way of life of a community, society, or nation.Go to Culture Glossary- and climate-based public school.
But what became particularly clear over dinner was how readily the sisters turned the attention away from themselves. When they spoke, they spoke about their team; about collaborators and communities whose knowledge and stories inform them. It was a reminder that while our cover may feature two faces, the story has always been about something much larger.
