The Jo Malone London Creative Studio headed by Master Perfumers Christine Nagel and Marie Salamagne took the rich and rare ingredients normally used in the Middle East to reinvent and add a modern character giving its own distinct Jo Malone London scent.
Eight sensual scents with a captivating and dangerous edge are structured to either stand alone or be blended and layered with other Jo Malone London scents to create bespoke scents for its wearer. The unique concept of Jo Malone London gives one the chance to discover a fragrance that is truly their own.
Dark Amber and Ginger Lily – Infused with amber and black orchid illuminated by the clean sensuality of black cardamom, ginger and water lily creates a calm and relaxing scent inspired by the rare Kyara wood, prized in the Kohdo ceremony, the highly ritualised Japanese art of incense appreciation.
Oud and Bergamot – Made of precious oud, inspired by the mysterious, smoky character of this revered wood is central to Middle Eastern fragrance traditions. This hypnotic and alluring scent radiates with the clarity of crisp bergamot and an orange granite accord.
Velvet Rose and Oud – Made from the darkest Damask rose wrapped with smoky oud wood spiked with clove and praline makes this a magnetic scent.
Tuberose Angelica – This sensual scent made from the queen of white florals with the green spiciness of angelica and the warmth of amberwood makes this one of the most intoxicating and desirable scents from the Intense collection.

Incense and Cedrat – The newest addition to the Cologne Intense line was created by Master Perfumer, Marie Salamagne, using the scent of Omani incense, the most precious in the world. It is harvested from the Boswellia sacra tree found in Dhofar a swathe of land between the ocean and desert. In recent years the Boswellia sacra has become increasingly threatened that is why for the first time in perfumery history Jo Malone is using NaturePrintTM technology to recreate the scent of Omani incense.
