Showcasing sustainable textiles and practices, Tommy Hilfiger recently unveiled its latest capsule collection—its fourth collaboration with the luxury car brand. In the longstanding strategic partnership with the six-time champion—the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, Tommy Hilfiger extends the reach of its sustainability mission by creating stylish pieces that “Wastes Nothing and Welcomes All.” The Fall 2020 TommyXMercedes-Benz capsule employs a sustainable type of cotton, Sorona®-filled parkas and suit bombers, and Ecodown® quilted vests—enhancing the brand’s expanding selection of more eco-responsible fashion pieces.
The latest collection of the TommyXMercedes-Benz line includes classic pieces, fantastic additions to any gentleman’s refined wardrobe. Elevated items such as the utility jacket, the bomber jacket, and the leather jacket feature tailored details and technical elements. These include climate control finishes, perforations, rubberized tapes, seamed seals, and Velcro® adjustable closures. Combining two palettes, Tommy Hilfiger’s iconic Americana colors are enriched with burnt orange, light grays, and olives. The collection exhibits both logos of the two brands through subtle and elegant executions. Through a minimalist approach, the Tommy Hilfiger stripe continues on hems and cuffs while the linings of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Tri Star are evident on outerwear. Overall, the collaboration succeeds in creating clean and sophisticated looks for the modern Tommy Hilfiger man.
