The list of World’s 50 Best Beaches 2025 is out, with the Philippines’s Entalula Beach among the top three, and its Bon Bon Beach in the 38th spot.
Every year, over 1,000 vetted travel professionals—including industry experts and newly added high-profile influencers—send in their input to curate the World’s 50 Best Beaches list. Meant to serve as a definitive and authoritative beach travel guide, it highlights hundreds of spots from around the world based on specific criteria that would give travelers a better idea of what’s in store for them, and why the beach stands out. These include the state of its wildlife and natural surroundings, the calmness of its waters, its accessibility, its ambiance, and the consistency of idyllic weather conditions, to name a few.
This year’s 2025 roster of beaches has just been released, filled with crystal blue waters, clear skies, stretches of pale sand, and unparalleled views—certainly a siren’s call to those who love their tropical getaways.

The top ten beaches in the list are Cala Goloritze (Italy), Entalula Beach (Philippines), Bang Bao Beach (Thailand), Fteri Beach (Greece), PK 9 Beach (French Polynesia), Canto de la Playa (Dominican Republic), Anse Source D’Argent (Seychelles), Nosy Iranja (Madagascar), Ofu Beach (American Samoa), and Grace Bay (Turks & Caicos).

Cala Goloritze previously held the 19th spot in the 2024 edition of World’s 50 Best Beaches, and has now climbed the rankings considerably, sitting at the very top. Made by a landslide in 1962, it was declared a natural monument in the 1990s, which is why it remains an unchanged slice of paradise today. With restrictions that keep boats at a distance and a visitor cap of 250 people, the beach stays tranquil, and features a magnificent 143-meter tall limestone pinnacle that gives its cove a distinct look.

The Philippines’s Unbeatable Beaches
It comes as no surprise that the Philippines made it to the list not once, but twice. The archipelago is home to thousands of islands, many of which contain beaches that are emblematic of the country’s rich biodiversity and natural beauty.
The second best beach in the world is Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan. Previously number four in last year’s edition of World’s 50 Best Beaches, it moved up the rankings for good reason. While Palawan is famed for its stunning beaches, Entalula stands out for being more secluded, offering remarkably clear aquamarine waters (perfect for snorkeling in the vibrant reefs nearby) and magnificent limestone cliffs to those who want a more quiet, less crowded beach experience. Only accessible by boat, the island is a tranquil and exclusive oasis quite unlike any other.

The Philippines’ second entry on the list, sitting at the 38th spot, is Bon Bon Beach in Romblon. Like other entries on the list, the beach jumped from its place at the 45th spot in the previous edition. It features a unique, natural sandbar that extends towards Bangug Island, serving as a bridge between the two spots. Here, beachgoers can traverse across the calm, clear blue waters while admiring the virtually untouched surroundings. Like Entalula, Bon Bon is a must-visit if you’re looking to escape the usual throngs of tourists while still enjoying all the best that Romblon’s striking beach scene has to offer.

With this year’s World’s 50 Best Beaches list now out and summer still in full swing, perhaps it’s a sign to start planning those long-awaited days under the sun.
