Cheers To Longevity: Philux Celebrates 45 Years In Business

For Philux, 45 years in the industry is a testament to its legacy of crafting luxury furniture through the hands of its in-house artisans.

A brand’s permanence is a testament to its dedication to providing quality products and services. Furthermore, passing down a business from one generation to another proves a legacy of quality. For Philux, its longevity has been a testament to its legacy of conscious luxury, crafted locally. Now celebrating its 45th year in the fine furniture manufacturing and retail industry, the family-owned company continues to offer products thoughtfully designed and created by its in-house team of artisans.

Modern Heritage

Philux was founded in 1980 by Max and Zelda Kienle. Today, the second generation manages it—their daughters, Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez and Jessica Kienle Maxwell. The company focuses on craftsmanship and sustainable materials, combining traditional techniques with modern technology to create pieces made to last.

For its 45th anniversary, Philux is focused on bridging the past, present, and future by reviving its landmark pieces and reimaginging classic Filipino heritage designs. This approach highlights the contrast between contemporary sensibilites and timeless tradition.

Philux Retail offers customers a personalized experience, allowing them to choose their furniture pieces and materials. Philux Contract collaborates with creatives to develop custom pieces that reflect both individual style and the Philux design philosophy.

“Our design is not just about form and function, it’s about creating timeless pieces that tell a story of elegance, artisanship, and sustainable innovation. All the while, each creation reflects our commitment to an authentic lifestyle—we make space for the spirit of our collaborators to shine through,” says Jessica Kienle Maxwell, Philux Vice President & Creative Director.
