GoldenEye (1995)
The 17th film in the series witnessed two firsts. One was the debut of Pierce Brosnan as the well-known fictional spy and two, the first foray of OMEGA in the Bond series. Pierce wore the quartz version of the Seamaster Professional 300M, resistant to water up to 300 meters. In the film, the watch features a laser beam and bomb detonator that helps bond maneuver and escape from an armored train.
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
The World Is Not Enough (1999)
Die Another Day (2002)
In the three films, Bond wears the Seamaster Professional. Each differs from the automatic caliber and integrated detonator. In The World is Not Enough, the watch hides wire with a hook that helps 007 lift out of an avalanche. In Die Another Day, the timepiece plays an important role in saving agent 007’s life. The bezel infused with a helium valve discharges an explosion. Together with the laser, the chronometer helps Bond fight against the evildoer Gustav Graves. After the movie’s release, OMEGA produced a limited edition with a gun logo on the dial, symbolizing agent 007. This marks the 40th anniversary of the James Bond franchise.

Resembling the 1960’s Seamaster watches, Bond wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M. Compared to the Planet Ocean in Casino Royale, this one is smaller with only 42 mm. It is also a reliable watertight watch than can resist high pressure. Prior to Quantum of Solace‘s release, OMEGA created a limited edition featuring a unique, honeycomb pattern on the face of the timepiece.
Skyfall (2012)
Though Bond wears different watches in Skyfall, what stood out is his limited edition Seamaster Planet 600M. Agent 007’s logo sits on the 7 o’clock dial, adding an interesting detail on the chronometer. Super-Lumi Nova coats its indices that have a light blue glow in the dark while the minute hand glows green. These colors help divers track time underwater.
